The plot is an important thing and Fire Falling's plot was amazing! But I think a connection with MCs is something more and something that isn't easy to orchestrate (rather impossible). You made me love you characters and now I'm interesting in everything, no matter what they do - sitting and staring into nothing, talking, walking, they can forget about war and just be on the pages and I would be in awe. When an author doesn't try to cover somethings or make it smoother and propitiate, when he or she doesn't suppress what has to be told - a reader has no chance to stay dispassionate. And I was thinking over their choices and feelings while I was reading another books. I have reading so many books, but only a few times I was in love with characters so much that I couldn't go on, I was crying with them, laughing, falling and rising. You're so very right, Elise!
